Founded in 2020, The Rug Addict is known for offering a wide range of beautifully made and expertly curated machine-woven rugs.

The Rug Addict was foundedby partners, Navishta Zaman and Rizvi Rahman, both graduates from prestigious universities in USA and Canada, respectively. When designing their home, they searched long and hard for modern yet classic rugs, only to fall short in their search by the lack of quality options in the current market. They quickly realized that there is an opportunity for growth and began their research in early 2019.

After forming their company, and a year of back and forth with suppliers and manufacturers in China and Turkey, they were successfully able to source and import the desired products. While noticing a trend in the growth of online shopping and digital marketing, they were focused on finding ways to quickly reach a large targeted audience and grow their brand credibility. So, they decided to launch the first collection of The Rug Addict exclusively online via social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram in February 2020, with plans to launch a display center in the near future.
